10 Reasons Why I Love My Husband

10 Reasons Why I Love My Husband

I’m a little bit late on the birthday letter, I truly had meant to write one of those. I woke up on the morning of the 23rd and it was the first thing on my mind. But then my children woke up early too… and then I spent the day picking up, entertaining, and kissing the birthday boy :) Not too shabby of a day, but the letter didn’t get written. Sorry babe!

I have from a previous exercise this year a list of what I love about Raymonn – that’s actually the title in my book. Looking at it now there’s actually 12 reasons so you all get a +2 bonus. Everyone who meets him loves him anyway, now you can put into words why.

Ready?

  1. He is a dreamer. Even though it can overwhelm me at times because I am more of a concrete thinker, I love that he never stops dreaming.
  2. He is an encourager, my biggest cheerleader. It started in college when he was the only one who believed I’d be an All-American in the hurdles and has never stopped.
  3. He pushes me to step outside my comfort zone and to grow, to think.
  4. He is an amazing Dad. He is Prayse’s hero. Side note: This list was pre-Xavier. But I can tell you now, when Daddy is around and talking, X’s eyes never leave him. He’ll twist himself around in my arms to keep looking at Daddy, learning all he can. Raymonn is an AMAZING Dad.
  5. When he hugs me, the rest of the world stops moving.
  6. He has never let his past be an excuse, rather motivation to keep achieving more.
  7. Everyone loves him. He can draw anyone out of their shell and make them feel important, make them feel that they matter.
  8. Oops – this is a personal one. Sorry public!
  9. He inspires those around him. He makes people want to be better at what they do and who they are.
  10. “Defeat” and “Fail” are not a part of his vocabulary.
  11. He will take a risk where others choose safety and while they may be safe – will never further themselves. He forces me to take these risks too – growing in the process.
  12. He pushed for marriage counseling instead of accepting status quo and giving up on our marriage. He really is determined to change our family tree, in more ways than one.

I love you baby. You make this world better just by being in it, you make our family better, and you make me better by the way you love me. I can’t wait to grow old with you.

Love,
TT

  1. Husbands are one of the best things in the world. Glad you got a good one. ;)

  2. I am sorry i am so late in responding, technology you know is a challenge for me, but i try. You really have a great husband, a loving husband and a joy of a husband, a kind and considerate husband that tries really hard to work things out and get the victory in it. I am so blessed to have mothered such a child, let’s you and I keep praying for him and see what God has in store for both of us.

    Love mom
