I’m Dreaming, Of A Whiiiiiiite Chriiistmas…

Oh wait, that’s reality I was so bummed yesterday when it begin to look like the Christmas blizzard of ’09 was going to become a reality and our Christmas plans changed. I love love love getting together at my Grandparents’ house, fondue, family, the works. Love it! Prayse has not stopped talking since Thanksgiving that she wants to see her Grandma – it’s daily!

The more I think about it though, I’m determined to make this a fun Christmas with our family. Just the three of us and anyone else stranded who needs to be adopted I’m staying home from work today – I’ll wrap tonight and we’ll move the plans we had from tonight to tomorrow night. Christmas morning we’ll open up some gifts and stockings. The rest of the gifts will just sit under the tree looking cozy and enticing until sometime in January.

I went through our TV guide and recorded a bunch of Christmas movies – I have hot chocolate recipes, we have paint and paper, toys and each other. We’ll put on our Christmas music, light our Christmas candles and have a grand ol’ time I might even have Prayse “help” me wrap some presents. She is excellent at holding the tape and putting it on the presents. There ends up being random tape everywhere, but that’s the beauty of Christmas through the eyes of a two year old
