Slooooooowwwwwww Down.

Rushing, rushing, rushing. I have to continually remind myself to slow down. It’s okay that we take a bit of extra time to get inside the car because Prayse is so busy telling me about her friends and her day – or that she wants to climb in all by herself. It’s okay that sometimes, we have two bowls of ice cream because we can’t choose which color is better for that moment. It’s also okay when it takes a minute to think about which color of bowl we need to put our Rice Krispies in. To me it might not make sense, but to her? To her it matters, that is her world at that moment – and I need to respect that and think like a two-year old. I want what matters to me to matter to other people – I need to give my daughter the same respect. And if our world moves just a tad bit slower – that’s okay.

We need to stop rushing because life passes us by so quickly. Here’s a couple of flashbacks for proof:

My how time flies.

  1. ACH. I finally figured out how to do comments. (LOL…gotta be smarter than the computer…)

It’s hard to remember to do that. But when you do, it makes all the difference in the end. I’m glad that you’re seeing how important it is for her…and in the end, for you too.

  2. So crazy how much she’s changed the last 2 years! So fun!

  3. You are so right! We all need to slow down. It makes me sad how fast our lives are right now.
