Giving Thanks
‘Tis the season to give thanks right? So I’ll follow suit. I actually need to up the attitude just a bit, I believe it could be due to the fact that my daughter is sleeping past 6:00 for the first time in who knows how long – sleep deprivation without coffee (we’re out of the good stuff here at home
) totally affects the tude
There are a lot of things I am thankful for:
- A fabulous husband who is hot, loving, a good provider, a fine friend, and one heck of a talented guy in about 1,000 different areas.
- An absolutely amazing daughter who rocks my socks. She is hilarious, a beautiful person inside and out who is independent but runs to anyone’s side the moment she thinks they are in need, defender of the weak (and strong), and a smartie pants that makes me laugh out loud every single day.
- A family who, now that I think of it, also rushes to anyone’s side the moment they know someone is in need. My Mom and Sister have come to our rescue many a time this 2009. We are definitely blessed. They are a pair who will come spend a weekend baking 300+ cookies to give away.
- A job that although I was thisclose to walking away from, made the right decision by staying. It has provided our family opportunities to crush debt this year, new opportunities for exciting paths – and clients who rock. They’re the best anyone could hope for and I have loved interacting with them, spending time with them – and hopefully, ultimately, making them look like heros.
- A church family that we have started to get to know. Relationships I would never have guessed would be built are being built. I didn’t realize how much I needed it – but someone else obviously did. I am very thankful for the opportunity to get to know these individuals in our small group.
This definitely is not the end all, be all of I’m thankful lists, but it’s a good start. Here are a few more reasons I’m thankful:
That we’re at least thinking about a diaper-free life! (She was singing
)

Those cookies I mentioned…

That we still get moments like these (they’re my favorite):

That Prayse has a Daddy who obviously is deep in love with her!
The end result

I’m thankful Christmas is coming. I’m thankful my family made it through another year (some scathed, but not burned) and that we can celebrate the birth of our Savior, together.

The entire time you encouraging her to put all that she can on me. Earrings, princess hats, etc. As much as it seemed I didn’t like it…I enjoyed how focused she got with making sure she aligned my earrings perfectly. My little ladybug.
PRICELESS!!!!! I absolutely loved that. Boy, Raymonn you are one SWEET princess. Tee Hee!!!!
Love YOU ALL!
