Happiness Is…
* Singing “The Wheels On The Bus” with my almost two-year-old
*Watching her eat Lucky Charms (or the generic version) for the first time and promptly pick out all the marshmallows and then ask for “more?” – they learn early
*Playing her “I got you!” game
* Remembering her in her little 4th of July parade – leading the pack – waving and doing her ultimate best when she saw Mama to get away (I’ll post a video soon)

Thank you everyone for your advice, we’ll get there. In our marriage we go through mountains and valleys and I don’t expect us to be perfect. I am not the type of person who freaks out when my house is not spotless – it’s never spotless, just come on over. But when I can have some measure of control and feel comfortable in my own house – I am more comfortable. It is also a Love Language – when my hubby (by himself) notices that I’ve been working a lot and hard for our famiily and just picks up or does the dishes, or puts in a load of laundry… it’s more than a stinkin load of laundry. It’s recognition and while it may be a small thing, to take one more thing off my plate and give in that way to our family – it makes me feel loved. I’m weird. I know
I’m going to be checking out the library for those books as well.
Looking forward to today and tomorrow. I was told I get my entire family for all two days, if I will let R work on Sunday. It’s a deal I can live with. Next mission: a date.
