This is why I’m so anal about this stuff!
Mike Tyson’s four-year old daughter is on life support today. Read here. I have major issues and am incredibly anal about wrapping up any cords or or the blind cords that hang down. I know that my husband and Dad don’t always get it and I freak out about it sometimes – I know I’m weird – but this is why!
A highschool classmate of mine – his toddler niece a few years ago died from accidently hanging herself in the blind cord that was hanging down. I can’t handle it. It is images and stories like this that make me go crazy mad about the safety of my daughter.
I know I’m strange – but this type of stuff scares the crap out of me. I can’t get it out of my mind.
I’m right there with you. My entire family acts as if I’m insane for being as crazy I am about certain things, but it only takes one second for something like that to happen. And then you end up being on of those people saying, “I never thought it could happen to me.”
I don’t think you can ever be too safe when it comes to your kiddos.
I know what you mean. My family thinks I am too anal or silly about things, but if something happened to Kaitlynn I would just die. Especially if I knew I should’ve taken some type of precaution and didn’t.
