My Little Tempertantrum
We’ve been working with Prayse on the tempertantrums. They’re kind of funny but don’t tell her I said so. I know this is the age that she’s testing to see what works and what won’t.
I almost threw one myself this morning. Spring football has officially started friends. Granted regular football season stopped yesterday. No? Well, it seems like it. But here we are none the less with spring ball. Only three weeks, but still an adjustment.
Last week I focused on one thing – sleep. I’m starting to get there as I’ve mentioned. This week though I realize I miss and need my alone time, even if it’s just a few minutes in the morning. I crave it.
Prayse decided that we should be awake from 4:00 – 5:30 this morning talking about Abbey and Gah-da (Grandad) and Nick (friend from school). At 5:10 I broke down and brought her into our bed. You would have done the same, trust me. So when the alarm went off at 6:00 it was rough, but I did manage to get up at 6:30. 6:40 rolls around and I hear “Nack! Nack! Nack!” coming from our bed. Granted, her eyes were still shut, but it didn’t matter.
I wanted to lay down on the floor right then and there and start crying, “No! Mine! All MINE! I want my 15 minutes!!! MIIIIIIIINNNNNNEEEEEE!” I pulled myself together and got P to lay down again – so I got 8 minutes. Whatever, I’ll take them.
Off to pack lunches – my “me time” is officially over.

Prayse and Kaylee must have been communicating last week. We had one of those wonderful mornings too. I totally understand what you mean about your 15 minutes in the morning. We’ve gotta have that time or we’ll explode, lol.
