A Morning of Mourning

You may all just laugh, but I am serious. My Crock Pot died this morning – and it deserves the tears that were shed.

A moment of silence please…

I plugged it in so that I could throw dinner in and POOF! Sparks all over. It wasn’t even turned on. Thank goodness I had cleared the mail off of the counter because the thing could have been a fire hazard.

My CP is my friend, it’s how I “cook”, it’s the reason my family gets hot meals 3 – 4x/week! There is absolutely no way I can go without my beloved CP. I went on Craigs List and found one on there, confirmed it was still available and made an offer of $10. It may seem low but the thing looks as old as my Mom’s that she got at her wedding – with all of the rocking brown, yellow, and green flowers (sorry Mom!).

Anyway I hope it works! $10 would be great to spend instead of $40… either way though I need to bite the bullet because not having a Crock Pot is not an option at our house!
