Seriously, the house is now over 80 degrees and it is 7:00 a.m. Miss P made it until about 11:30 and then woke up screaming. I can’t blame her, I wanted to do the same. We were able to get our room comfortable at least by moving all the fans in there so we all three slept together. It’s amazing the amount of room two grown adults can give one babe all on a queen size bed! There was no cuddling. Too hot.It reminded me of the time our heater broke in January and it was in the negative wind chill. We had our little 5 month old all bundled up with the space heater near by and just stayed in one area of the house. Seriously, this is why we are trying to do all of these updates. Apparently the $700 we spent on the A/C last year didn’t last long. So, today I will be calling my two favorite Dons:
- Don Smith- Smith Heating and Air (for obvious reasons)
- Don Prentice- Prentice Pest Control (found a spider in our bed the other night… that just can’t happen)
OK, I need a break. Someone else’s turn to be grown-up now! Anyone up for the job?

Girl I feel ya. I suffered last summer with no AC. I am sure you remember that complaining. Hang in there, hopefully you get it all fixed and your grown up break is a comin’.

Ouch! Had the same thing happen right after Sweet Pea was born…called in the am and got air by the pm…only $800. But well worth every penny!
Hope you are back to a comfortable temperature soon!
(Bugs stink, too…)

I can sympathize. Our air was “kind of” broken last summer although we spent about $200 on it. Well this summer we had to do a huge part replacement and then about a week later they found termites swarming around our driveway and we had to get the whole house treated. Seriously, do these people think we are made of money and have nothing better to do?

That is a crappy way to wake up. We have no A/C so I feel your pain. Luckily, Eric has a foolproof “freeze the house with fans all night long so we’re cool all the next day” plan that works very well.
Time to put a spider bomb down! I hate those little eight leg suckers.

So $340 later we should be chillin this evening. Again I say… $340. This grown-up home owner stuff is for the birds. I see why people rent.

Glad you got some fast relief!
