We’re Getting Closer!!

To hearing the sweet sweet sound of “Mama.” Don’t get me wrong, hearing “Da Da dadadada daaaaaaaa da” over and over again is cute and all but our conversations go like this:Me: “Mama”Prayse: “Dada”Me: “Maaaaama”Prayse: “Daaaada”Me (whispering): “MMMMMMmmmmaaaaaaama”Prayse (whispering right back): “Daaaaaaaaaada”She thinks she’s cute. Okay, she knows she’s cute. But still, can I get a little “Mama” action? I’m due!Her newest thing is that she has figured out that she can nod her head “yes.” Whether or not she knows it means “yes” is suspect, but it doesn’t really matter. It’s the cutest thing!Raymonn in his never ending Daddy-worrying mode is scared that she has some nerve damage or something from all of the times she has hit her head He said that there used to be a kid in his school that kept shaking his head yes all of the time and he got made fun of. I told him not to worry, it really is a good developmental step. He can’t help it, he’s a Mother Hen.So anyway our dinner time consists of us winking at each other, saying “dada” to annoy me and shaking our head “Yes” at each other. It really is a lot of fun!The funny thing is that I’m serious.My how our lives have changed. In college if someone had told me that was the enjoyment and entertainment of the evening I would have looked at them like they were crazy. Now, I look forward to it. I think about Prayse all day, every day and cannot wait to get to her so we can have fun together, nodding our heads. It truly is the small things in life that make every day memorable.
