Things I Like About My Hubby
I complain about him sometimes. Some days it is a lot of times. Some days he deserves it, some days he doesn’t. Truth be told, it is easy to get engrossed in all of the daily things that I forget how much I love him. It seems to be something easily taken for granted. The other day I was thinking about something or other and found myself scrolling through my phone to see who I could call to tell my story to. Hello?!?! Your supposed best friend is on speed dial!! Something is wrong with that picture! So, I need to start with myself and finding my friend again. I think that this is an exercise that we all should go through, because even through the rough tough times there is SOME reason we married these guys
In no particular order of importance here are some of the things I like about my hubby:
- He is a HOTTIE. Like, for real. The guy looks good. He has awesome hair which I LUV when it is back in a pony tail because then I can see his square jaw line. Very masculine, very sexy.
- He can laugh at himself like no one else. It makes him very easy to hang out with and joke around. The guy jokes around a lot, sometimes too much. But for all that he dishes out, he can take it and he is usually the one laughing the loudest and longest, even when the joke is on him.
- He loves Jesus.
- He apparently has some really good sperm because we make good babies together.
- He is creative! (www.deuce27.com)
- He is supportive of my dreams. Seriously, supportive. Always has been. In college I wanted to be an All-American in the hurdles. He believed it before I did and then it happened. He coached and pushed me to recognize that particular dream. This is something that has been a consistent thread throughout our whole friendship/relationship.
- The man looks guuuuuud in a pair of football pants. Really good. He’s also fun to watch play. I have always said he makes the game look elegant. I think we’re connected on a deeper level than just football, and you may not believe me, but I can predict the outcome of his plays. I can! I can tell you when he’s going to break free for a big run or a touchdown before it happens. That’s sayin something
- He’s bigger and stronger than me and when I get a real hug, everything else is made better for just a few moments.
- He is a fantastic Daddy. No one can make Prayse laugh louder or longer than him.
- He is a great coach and an inspiration to a lot of kids, both young and older. I see the kids on his football team gravitate toward him, even the ones that aren’t running backs or special team players. He has the ability to make them feel good about what they’re doing and how hard they are working.
- He is an even bigger inspiration to his cousins and nieces in Texarkana. Do you know that he turned down 13 D1 scholarship offers (both football and track)? Do you know why? Because he knew if he went D1 he probably wouldn’t finish school and he wanted to be (and was) the first person in his family to graduate college.
What is one thing you like about your hubby?

Sounds like a great man to be married to such a great woman!
Aww I love this post. We all need to take time to share why someone is so special! You have a great guy. One that should shove you out the door to come see me!
I love Matt in so many ways, for so many reasons. One would be that he knows my faces and how I am feeling, without me having to say anything. Then he reacts and makes it better, or shares in the joy.
Great post Tiff. We really do need to get back to the basics of why we chose them. The Cop is a provider. He will work his hind end off to make sure we have what we need. He’s also a giver of his talents to those in need. Thanks for the reminder.
What a really wonderful post. Sometimes we all really do need to step back & remember why we married them.
Wow, that’s an amazing post Tiff! He sounds like a wonderful guy and he’s surely married to a lovely lady!
It is great to focus on the good
Thanks for reminding us, and it’s great to see someone so happy with their partner!
