Clear Epic

Prayse and I have just spent the past 15 minutes with both of us on our bellies, having staring contests. Both of us end up in giggles and it is awesome. She is awesome. She is growing everyday, physically and mentally and emotionally. I am seeing more of her personality and am loving it. We are working on crawling and I laugh every single time I see that body rocking forward with her big toothless grin. She has been kissed so much by her Mama that she now gives them back. They typically include fistfuls of my hair as she is dragging me toward her, but it is totally worth it! In her walker she still only goes backwards 98% of the time but what a joy it is to see her eyes light up when she realizes she is the one making her move.

At night she maneuvers herself so that she has her feet touching one side of the crib and is semi-ramming her head into the bumper and then looks up at me and grins. She is so proud of herself for the new game she has created. I believe she is even more proud of the one more way she can help herself stay awake and not fall asleep.

Right now she is right here beside me playing with her cell phone, munching away at it. In my head and in my heart I know that she is turning out to be a good kid and an amazing person. She is so much fun. Does she have her days? Yes, especially when she has had a fever for a week. I feel like moaning and groaning and being cuddled in the same situation. Why, when I know the truth, do I still feel the need to have this obvious fact validated? Why do I get so sensitive and feel as though she and I are under attack? I need to have it engraved on my hand as it is already engraved 0n my heart that my daughter is an amazing individual who is fun to be around and that I am doing a good job as a parent.

How can I doubt that when I see this?
