Dear Mutha,
Another (I have a lot to work on!) thing that I want to focus on this year is encouragement. When I think about someone and when I appreciate them I want them to know it. I don’t want to wait because I will forget and it won’t mean as much. I have been thinking about my “Angel In Disguise” post and I want to live my part. So here we go….
Dear Mutha,
I was thinking about you this morning as I was making Nacho Rice Dip for our marathon day of football. I just wanted you to know that I appreciate you. You always seem to know the right words to encourage me without even knowing that I may need encouragement.
You have had a crazy year, a scare with your thyroid and I am so glad that everything has worked out. You are an amazing Mom and I wanted to let you know. That’s all.
Happy 2008 my friend!

Oh my gosh, how wonderful! When I saw your title on Google Reader, I got nervous. I half expected you to be angry with me for something I said. I had a history in the blog world for doing that to people. What a nice surprise! I’m touched, thank you. I am glad I can inspire you. You do the same with me with your love for your family and your honesty about being a working mother. I love that you don’t try to pretend that everything is ok when it’s not. That’s rare in the blog world, especially from new moms. It’s hard to admit that sometimes, this mom thing is a lot harder than we expected. All those complex emotions! And having someone who just puts it out there is so brave. So kudos to you as well!
A cherry on top of an unexpected amazing day for me. A great way to begin the new year, too.
Thank you!

Encouragement is a good thing to want to work on, everyone can use encouragement! I should add that to my list…I tend to have too much of a critical streak.
I agree with everything Mutha said about your blog, and I’m sure your personality…you’re very honest and love what God has given you in your life!
