I need to get better
at this blogging thing! I’ve realized what a slacker I’ve become now that I’m not continually up at 3:00 a.m. Maybe those are my only times of insight? If so, it’s not worth it
I’m enjoying sleep too much at the moment. Prayse isn’t sleeping through the night yet but for the most part she’s figured out that when the sun is down she should be asleep.
Okay, time for some random thoughts since I wasn’t cool enough to blog about them earlier.
I took Praysalyn to get her pictures taken on Friday. Again I say, ROCK STAR! She is gorgeous and knows how to strike a pose. I bought the CD so I can email pictures but I’m not yet sure if I can put one on the website. Anyone know? If so I’ll post one! We got a lot of good ones, and I just had them make our birth announcements. I wanted to have the cool creative ones but it just didn’t happen so you’ll be getting just a generic one with a beautiful baby on the front. Never mind that it’s two and a half months late…
Did you hear about the daycare that had a pacifier taped to a four month old’s mouth? TAPED. May I just say right now, that if that four month old’s mama had been me the article would have been extended to discuss that can of Whoop Ass I would have opened. I would be ballistic Mama and would have landed myself in jail. Just be ready with the bail money and I’ll pay you back when I get out. Why would anyone think that was anywhere close to OK?
Britney Spears lost custody of her kids… wait, I just can’t go there. I can’t blog about Britney Spears. Moving on…
I do have a recipe to post from my Non-Dairy Cookbook. But I need more from you all that said you wanted to exchange recipes! Jaime, I thought of you when I made this!
Stir-Fry Beef
3 T Olive Oil
3 T Soy Sauce
1 Pound Sirloin, cut into thin strips
6 Green Onions, cut into 1-inch diagonals
1 6-ounce can sliced water chestnuts
1/2 cup cold water
2 T Flour
In a large flying pan or wok, head oil until very hot. Add 2 T of the soy sauce and blend. Add sirloin, stir-frying quickly for about 1 minute. Toss in green onions and water chestnuts; blend well. In a separate small bowl, blend cold water with the remaining 1 T soy sauce and flour. Mix until all the flour is dissolved. Pour over meat-vegetable mixture. Turn off the head and let the sauce sit and thicken. Stir mixture continuously. Serve at once.
Yum!

I just can’t help myself!

The daycare story is ghastly!
I am not a daycare fan. I understand that some women want to use it, and that is different. But when it comes to people who have to use it and would prefer not to, I think society has some thinking to do.

Sleeping is good. Blogging is secondary to sleeping
