At This Moment
At this moment my daughter is sitting right beside me in her bouncy seat, arms waving, little feet kicking and eyes wide. She is chattering and getting very excited about Baby Einstein, the spinning tops, the dancing babies. She is blowing the bubbles she just started to blow with the immense slobber and smiling in between.
At this moment it does not matter that her 2.5 month old birth announcements are unfinished in the kitchen, nor does it matter that I have clothes in the washer, three more loads waiting to be washed, and about five loads of clean clothes on my bed waiting to be folded. It does not matter that I have a dishwasher full of clean dishes waiting to be unloaded and a sink full of dirty ones waiting to be loaded. At this moment it does not matter that we are at war or that Bin Laden is at large. It does not matter that I have a dozen open projects open when I go back to work next week.
At this exact moment life is pretty near perfect.

Awwww. This is so sweet, and I know just how you feel. Nothing like a sweet, wiggly, adorable little baby to make you feel like all is right with the world. Savor those moments!
