Raymonn- Four Generations

Four Generations: Daddy, Praysalyn, Big Mama, and Mama

She is such a stud, I say this every day, to anyone who will listen but it’s just so true! We’re back from Arkansas and another weekend at a cabin with my family. The babe is extremely tired but she did great.

Arkansas was fun, Prayse got to meet her Big Mama and lots more Great Aunts and Uncles as well as a plethora of cousins. She was the hit of the weekend. And I even left her a couple of times, it was tough but we both got through it. Friday night I went with Raymonn to watch the biggest Arkansas High game of the year vs. Texas High. Raymonn had always told me what it was like to play football in high school and how big the crowd was, how into it they always were, etc… It wasn’t like I ever doubted him, but coming from a small town of 7,000 my imagination can only get me so far when you are talking about 15,000 people coming out to watch a HS football game. He wasn’t lying though, it was so fun to watch and even more fun to watch him. I could tell he had a great time and was remembering the limelight. What was even more amazing was how many people remembered him and him playing. I’ve decided 10 years is way too long to keep him away. In a few years we may need to go back just to watch this game again.

It was so nice to see Raymonn so relaxed, content, and happy. I have to be honest and say that I haven’t seen that side of my husband for quite awhile. I guess there’s just something about being at home with family, it’s not a feeling you can replicate no matter how hard you try. There is a comfort level that comes with being with people who really do have unconditional love and who have known you your entire life. There is nothing to explain because they just “get” you. We need to make it back to Arkansas more, it’s like a drug and I like my husband more when he gets it.

Just a side note, we are FLYING next time. A fourteen hour drive there and twelve hour drive back? Not so fun, I’d rather deal with the hassles of an airport thank you very much.
