A Crafter I Am Not!

Doane Onesie- Front Side

Coach Adams’ cutie

Prayse is seven weeks old today, is it too early to say she’s growing up too fast? The past few weeks she has been growing (currently 12 pounds!!) and has been more and more vocal. We are having so much fun together just chatting. Mornings are my favorite, right when she wakes up she is typically so happy and chatty.

Today she went to her first football game. Raymonn coaches at our alma mater, Doane College so I thought it would be cute to make a onesie for her to wear supporting Doane and Daddy at the same time. She of course rocked it and did look cute, but believe me I am just not going to be good at crafts no matter how hard I try. I can pretend all I want and even get these brilliant moments where I think I’m Martha Stewart, but I’m quickly brought back down to earth.

There is no way that ironing on a few letters to a newborn onesie should take me an hour, but alas, it did. I even read all of the directions… multiple times! Me being the brilliant person that I am decided that I liked the shiny side of the letters better and lined them all up nice and neat. I put the iron on them and waited a few seconds. Upon picking up the iron I found myself looking at a pure white onesie with the letters nowhere to be found! Glancing at the iron I saw a very neat message “Coach Adams Cutie.” Uhh, yeah, the “shiny” side that I thought was so cute, that’s the glue. Let me tell you how smart I felt. So there I was trying to pick the letters off of a hot iron and putting them back on the onesie. It ended up looking okay in the end I guess, just took a bit more time and a few blisters. I think, however that I will just leave the crafts to Martha Stewart.

It turned out pretty cute, though! Besides, the world doesn’t need another Martha. One is quite enough. ;)

I wish that was us! I currently have one picture of the two of us. That is my sister though and everyone says we look a lot alike so it’s kind of like having a picture with me and Prayse :)

Her onesie turned out fantastic! I thought the pic was of you too! If it makes you feel better I made Bing and Trax bandanas that say Big Bro and Big Sis but when I ironed on the “sis” part it turned out “ssi”. I’m slow sometimes!
