8.7.07 First Bottle with Daddy

I need to get better at writing down all of the things I want to remember. I’m probably the only one who cares about these milestones, but they’re important none the less. I cannot believe that she will be four weeks old tomorrow and one month old on Tuesday! Where did this past month go??

She is growing so big and changing everyday. She has started to become more vocal which is really fun except when she decides we need to have a conversation at 5:00 in the morning That’s when I decide that she needs to have this conversation with Daddy! The turkey settles down and falls asleep as soon as she hits Raymonn’s arms though. He has the magic touch I guess. She’s awake a little bit more every day which is awesome because I looooove looking into those bright blue eyes.

This has been a busy week of firsts!

On Sunday I took her to church for the first time, and we took our first trip. She had never been out of Lincoln before and she handled it much better than I did! I was an emotional wreck driving away from home, crying as I thought about how much she was growing up.

She also started drinking from a bottle! I have to admit, I also struggled with this. It’s hard to let go of some of the things that are “Mama Only.” Her Grandma Ferguson gave her one this weekend and Daddy gave her one when we got home. It took her a minute to understand what was going on, but when it has to deal with food and eating she is all over it. At the Dr on Wednesday she weighed 10 lbs, 8 oz. I had to talk to them about not having enough milk supply but it was obvious that the girl wasn’t starving. We like ‘em strong and healthy!
