One week old? This is happening too fast!

Day One

week old

Look at the difference just in one week!

As I sit here this morning and look at my beautiful beautiful daughter I cannot believe that she’s a week old already! One week ago at 7:00 a.m. I was on the phone with Labor and Delivery contemplating if I should go to the hospital or not. I’m so glad it wasn’t a false alarm. I am blessed beyond belief.

I realize that I may or may not be biased but I think I might just have the most precious thing on the face of this earth. My baby is an angel in disguise. She sleeps very well at night, she is eating like a champ, she is very laid back and easy going so noise and people do not bother her. She is downright amazing.

Once again, I can’t believe that Prayse Jamesen Adams is one week old already! Yesterday, 7.20.07 she rolled onto her side all by herself! Three times!! Once, yes maybe you can explain that away but not three times. I almost started crying, should this happening already? At six days old you’re not supposed to be able to do that right? I realize I have a rock star for a daughter and I am very proud of her, but it made me realize that they really do grow up fast and I don’t want that to happen! I want to always have my little cuddle bug.

Happy one-week Birthday Praysalyn, Mama loves you!

This past week has been awesome to have our family and friends come to share in our excitement. We needed all the help we could get and it meant a lot to see our daughter being loved by those who are important in our lives. I am, however, very much looking forward to the next few weeks and getting to know my daughter and letting her get to know me a bit more. She is absolutely amazing, I could spend hours and hours just staring at her and giving thanks to God. I’m not sure I deserve such a gift, but I’m glad He chose me to be her Mom. It’s a huge responsibility and one I am ready to tackle head on. I can go on and on and on about how in love I am, but there are plenty more of those posts to come.
