Choosing a Birthday and Other Thoughts
Tomorrow is our last pre-natal Dr. appointment. How do I know this? Because Prayse is being way too stubborn and I’ve decided that we’ll be discussing induction tomorrow! I read up on it a lot this weekend and feel much more comfortable about going ahead and scheduling her birthday. I still really wish that she would come on her own but I’m getting way too crabby and desperate. Who knows? Maybe knowing that we’re setting a date I’ll relax and she’ll decide to come. If she’s anything like her Dad she will do just this to prove that she’s the one in control
I’m all for it.
Sorry babe, I’ve given you your chance. You have about 18 hours left until we set the date.

On a completely different subject, I’ve been having so much fun with our new camera and learning more about all of that creative “stuff” that I’m awful at. While practicing I’ve started to think more about how we see our world. It’s very easy to take for granted the things we don’t notice because they seem so common.
To be honest, I’ve always taken Nebraska for granted, always wanted to get out in search of the bigger, better, and more beautiful. I’m not sure when in the past year my outlook has been altered, but I am starting to see that Nebraska is not the flat, boring land with nothing going on that it is made out to be. The values and morals and PEOPLE that are here are like none other. Raymonn and I are blessed with the individuals who have entered our lives. It’s not always about what city has the best architecture, the best clubs, the best “hoppin places to go.” It is who you have in your support network, the individuals that are there to pick you up and encourage you… that’s what makes “home” a great place to live.
Will we always live in Nebraska? Who knows? I have no clue what path has been laid out for my family’s life. But I do know that I will appreciate where I am and the people I’ve been surrounded with. My daughter is very blessed to enter into an environment overflowing with love, I am determined to continue this to foster and build on this foundation and to enjoy it!
